Family Feud
Opening competition and the first medal of the Games. Survey questions themed on 250 years of American independence — Founding Fathers to fireworks, parades to presidents, and a few from the Lynch family annals. Teams huddle; one designated spokesperson answers. Aunt Jill awards points per the classic Family Feud distribution. Higher total takes Event I. Hosted and adjudicated by Aunt Jill.
Head, Shoulders, Knees, Cup
Athletes pair off across the table, one cup between each pair. Aunt Jill calls the commands — head! shoulders! knees! — and hands fly to match. On "CUP!" it's first grab wins. Fake-outs are legal, encouraged, and historically devastating. Best-of series per pairing; the team with the most cups claimed takes gold.
Team Flip Cup Race
Teams line up shoulder-to-shoulder on the pool deck. On the call, the first player from each side drinks (water or beverage of choice), then flips their cup right-side-up with one finger off the table edge. Once it lands flat, the next teammate goes. First team through all players wins gold, glory, and the closing toast of the Games.
Closing Ceremonies
Medal presentation, MVP vote, team photographs, and the awarding of the Lynch Family Cup — all under the lights of the 250th 4th.

Tiebreaker Protocol
In the event of a tie after Event III, the championship is decided by a sudden-death Euchre battle — two selected representatives from each team, winner takes all. The Cup will not be split. The Cup must be won.
The Lynch Family Cup
Awarded at the closing ceremonies by PopPop. The winning captain's name is etched onto the base. Possession of the Cup carries one full year of dinner-seating priority, the larger guest room, and unlimited gloating rights.

- MVP — Aunt Jill's pick. For the player who gave the games their all and brought the most overall effort and heart.
- Rookie of the Year — For the best first-time competitor.
- Heart of the Games — For the best sportsmanship and team spirit; the loudest, kindest cheerleader.
- The Iron Lynch — For the player who showed up for every event and never quit.
- The Quahog Award — For the player who dug the deepest when it mattered most.
- The Lighthouse Award — For the player who kept everyone's spirits up all weekend long.
- The 1776 Award — new this year — For the player whose declaration of independence (from second place, from the rules, from common sense) most defined the 250th Games.
